Pig Farming Rally Canberra

VENUE:   Garema Place

DATE:      Sat 11 August

TIME:      10.00 am

A rally will be held in Garema Place this Saturday at 10am supporting the shutdown of Wally's Piggery.

Following the investigation into Wally's Piggery, just 20 minutes outside Canberra, Animal Liberation ACT & NSW have launched a campaign - Australian Pig Farming: The Inside Story.
Footage and photographs reveal pigs and piglets living in horrific conditions and animals being brutally slaughtered whilst fully conscious.

We will also be gathering signatures for the petition which asks the relevant authorities to shut the piggery down. Sign the online petition here.

The rally will also be used as an opportunity to educate the public about what the pig industry is really like in Australia. Fliers and posters will be available on the day but please feel free to make banners or posters of your own.
